Sad ChildDivorce And Depression

"My children have been acting out horribly since our separation!"
"It seems like he cries for his dad during my visitation."
"She's having a difficult time adjusting to our custody arrangements."
"How do I know the difference between sadness expected from our divorce verses depression?"

Anyone who has been part of a divorce, either as the parent or child, knows divorce causes us to feel a roller coaster of emotions at different times. If your family is currently going through the divorce process, the following signs indicate there could be a problem:

Is your child having difficulty sleeping or eating?
Is someone you love crying more days than not?
Does someone in your family appear sad most of the day or all day?
Has your child or someone in your family lost pleasure in all or most things they use to love and enjoy?
Has someone in your family quit extra-curricular activities?
Is your child's grades dropping?
Is your child having difficulty adjusting to all the changes within the family?
