Jennifer Leister, MA, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor, a well-respected psychotherapist who counsels adults, adolescents, and children. She is professionally trained in short term, solution-based therapy. Jennifer has extensive experience working with families in transition.

She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas and her Master of Arts degree from Amberton University. Jennifer has a special place in her heart for at risk adolescents and children.

Jennifer has been working with children, adolescents and adults since 2002. Her areas of expertise include ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, Mood Disorders, and Anxiety Disorders.

In addition to working with children and adolescents, she has expertise in individual, couples and group counseling. She also assists families dealing with separation, divorce, co-parenting, and other situations where families are raising children between two homes.

 

There are several options available for families in transition. Jennifer specializes in counseling families in divorce, co-parent counseling, parent coordination, and parent facilitation. Jennifer also has extensive experience in litigation and collaborative law.

In her free time, Jennifer can be found spending time with her husband, daughter and son, enjoying the pool and the sun.

Hannah Lawson, M.S, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. Hannah provides a warm, non-judgmental, and safe environment to facilitate growth and change. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and play based techniques when appropriate.

 

Hannah has experience working with addiction, anxiety, autism, ADHD/LD, mood, parenting, self-esteem and trauma in children, and families. She also has experience in grief counseling.

 

Hannah received her undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University and her master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marquette University.

Hannah specialized in addictions during graduate school and enjoys working with families who have experienced difficulties and are working through a variety of life changes. After graduate school Hannah began helping families in a forensic capacity including divorce, modification and counseling chidren and families in collaborative law.

 

Hannah’s goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life worth celebrating. If you are looking for support, encouragement, and guidance through any

situation for yourself, your child, or your family, she looks forward to working with you!

 

Hannah is currently supervised by Jennifer Leister, LPCS and her board supervisor is Jeffrey Gallup MA, LPCS, NCC, CFMHE.

Monty is Jennifer's therapy dog who loves participating in counseling sessions. He has passed his Advanced AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Urban CGC exam. Monty loves giving hugs to kids who enjoy interacting with him. For families who are not interested in his services, no problem; Monty enjoys interacting with other professionals in the office.
